Academic integrity
We teach and guide. You remain the author.
Academic integrity is the foundation of everything we do. This policy explains exactly what our tutors will and won't do, so you can use our services with confidence.
Our tutors will
- Explain concepts, theories, methods and course material
- Help you understand an assignment brief and marking rubric
- Help you plan, outline and structure your own ideas
- Give feedback and comments on drafts you have written
- Proofread for language, clarity and formatting, following university proofreading guidelines
- Teach referencing, paraphrasing and academic writing skills
- Coach you through research design, analysis and interpretation of your own data
- Prepare you for exams, presentations and vivas with practice and feedback
Our tutors won't
- Write essays, assignments, theses or any part of them for submission
- Rewrite your work so that it is no longer your own
- Take exams, quizzes or online assessments on your behalf
- Fabricate data, results, sources or citations
- Complete graded coursework, problem sets or code you will submit
- Help anyone get around their institution's rules
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for following your institution's academic integrity rules, including any rules about proofreading, the use of AI tools and acknowledging help you receive. If you're unsure whether a type of support is allowed on your course, ask your supervisor or module leader before booking, and we're happy to adapt.
Proofreading standards
Our proofreading follows common university proofreading policies: we correct spelling, grammar, punctuation and formatting, and we comment where meaning is unclear. We do not add content, restructure arguments or change your meaning. All edits are tracked so you decide what to accept.
Generative AI
We teach you how to use AI tools responsibly where your institution allows it. Tutors will never generate work for you to submit.
When we decline or end a booking
If a request would breach this policy, we'll explain why and suggest legitimate support instead. Repeated attempts to obtain prohibited help will lead to the account being closed, with a refund for any unused sessions.
Reporting a concern
If you believe a tutor has acted outside this policy, please contact us through the contact page. Every report is investigated confidentially.
