Terms of Service
Last updated 21 October 2026
These terms form an agreement between you and [company legal name], [company registration number], [registered address], trading as Grade Booster Academy. By booking a session or creating an account you accept them.
1. Our services
We provide tutoring, coaching, feedback, proofreading and study-skills support to university and college students worldwide. All services are educational. We do not complete, write or submit academic work on your behalf.
2. Academic integrity
- We teach and guide. We never ghost-write, and you remain the author of any work you submit.
- You are responsible for complying with your institution's rules on academic integrity, collaboration and proofreading.
- You agree to use our services in line with our Academic Integrity Policy. We may decline or end a booking that would breach it.
3. Accounts and security
- You must be 16 or over. Where your local law requires it, users under 18 need a parent's or guardian's consent.
- Keep your login details safe and don't share your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
- Our staff use two-factor authentication to protect your data.
4. Bookings
- Session times are shown in your local time zone; please check them before confirming.
- If your tutor becomes unavailable, we will offer an equally qualified tutor, a new time, or a full refund.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, the session may be treated as attended.
5. Payments, currencies and taxes
- We accept payment in many currencies. Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay) and PayPal are our main payment methods; regional methods are offered as extra options where available.
- Prices may be shown converted to your local currency for convenience. The amount charged is confirmed at checkout, and your bank or provider may add its own conversion fees.
- Prices include VAT, GST or similar taxes where we are required to charge them; otherwise any taxes are shown at checkout.
- Payment is due at booking unless you choose an installment plan. Installments for thesis packages are charged monthly; if a payment fails, future sessions may be paused until it is resolved.
6. Cancellations and refunds
See our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase of digital services. If you ask us to start a session within that period, you agree that you lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully provided, and you may have to pay for any part already provided.
7. Acceptable use
Be respectful to tutors and staff. Don't share login details, upload unlawful or infringing material, record sessions without consent, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the platform, or arrange services outside the platform with tutors you met through us.
8. Intellectual property
You keep all rights to the work you upload, and give us only the permission needed to provide the service. Our resources, guides and site content are owned by us and licensed to you for personal study use.
9. Limitation of liability
We provide our services with reasonable skill and care but cannot guarantee particular grades or outcomes. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability or consumer guarantee that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
10. Your consumer rights
These terms do not take away any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. For example:
- EU and UK: your statutory rights for digital services, including the 14-day cancellation right described in section 6.
- Australia: the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded.
- Elsewhere: any rights your local consumer law gives you that cannot be waived by contract.
11. Governing law and disputes
- Please contact us first; most issues can be resolved informally within 30 days.
- These terms are governed by [governing law]. Disputes that are not resolved informally may be brought before [courts].
- If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, and the mandatory laws of that country still apply.
- We do not require consumers to use arbitration or waive class actions where the law of their country prohibits it.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will show the new date at the top and tell you about significant changes in advance. Changes do not affect bookings already paid for.
